About Maddie.
Juneau, Alaska based artist, Maddie Kombrink, has been practicing the art of charcoal since 2016. Mostly self-taught, Maddie comes from a career in conservation biology. Her love of the natural world, and desire to heal and protect the wonders around us, inspires every piece she creates. Through charcoal realism, she aims to depict the natural world in a way that isolates and enhances the beauties many of us tend to overlook.
Mostly specializing in pet portraiture, Maddie has a unique way of encapsulating the memory of loved ones, furry and non-furry alike.
